A defining feature of this counselling practice is a shared commitment to accountability. Both client and counsellor are encouraged to take responsibility for working toward meaningful goals. While theoretical approaches offer valuable guidance, what ultimately matters is effectiveness—does it work for this individual, in this specific context? Positive, healthy outcomes are the true measure of success.

Carolyn is committed to ongoing professional development to stay current with the latest research and to use approaches that are both effective and efficient in helping you reach your goals. Because your story is uniquely your own, your treatment plan will be tailored to reflect that. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.

  • I am available for extended hours Monday through Wednesday for in-person appointments for adults, teens, and children.

  • Virtual sessions are available Monday through Friday and provided through a secure, encrypted video conferencing platform to ensure your privacy.

  • Working with couples requires a longer session to ensure time for each person to feel heard and understood, and also to make room for working on new communication skills.
